Christy Stone Camino de Santiago

A little about me.

I am a counselor, spiritual director, retreat leader, and contemplative traveler who believes healing and renewal unfold slowly — in honest conversation, sacred pause, and meaningful journey.

My work has shaped by seasons of faith questioning, motherhood, grief, illness, and travel. In those valleys and open roads, I learned that healing is rarely dramatic. It is patient. Attentive. Often quiet.

The contemplative life quite literally saved me throughout the seasons of my life. I live and work as an empath and highly sensitive person in the world. Learning how to stay open to the world without losing myself has been essential to my well-being.

Three anchors emerged in my early adulthood and continue to guide me today: contemplation and mindfulness, sacred travel and journey, and nature as a sacred teacher. These practices became pathways of survival, restoration, and transformation — expanding my capacity to hold what is hard and love more deeply than I imagined possible.

Good Mexican food is my favorite meal, and I love music, piano, art, poetry, and a great book. I’m a hopeful gardener without a green thumb and a caffeine contemplative. The ocean, mountains, and high desert are my holy places, where I find peace in simple wonders — flowers, dragonflies, butterflies, hummingbirds, and stellar jays.

I cherish a beloved tribe of family and friends and have been married to my husband for nearly 30 years. I love being a boy mom to two almost grown, almost flown young men. Two spirited Jack Russells — and a very adored giant grand pup — rule my world. One of my proudest accomplishments was hiking the Camino de Santiago.

And honestly — I love the world and humanity so much, even in its complexity. I am so glad you are here.
