Many people have questions about the differences in Soul Care sessions — Spiritual Direction and Counseling. Below are answers to some of the most common questions. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, you are always welcome to reach out.

These offerings share a commitment to attentive listening and meaningful conversation, but they serve different purposes.
Spiritual Direction offers a reflective space to slow down and notice what is unfolding in your life — your values, longings, questions, God, and inner movements. It focuses on meaning, discernment, and deeper awareness.
Counseling is a clinical mental health service that focuses on emotional healing, symptom relief, and improved functioning. Counseling includes a formal assessment, diagnosis when appropriate, and a treatment plan.

Yes. Christy Stone is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor (LPC-S) in Texas and continues to see counseling clients.
Counseling services are available only to individuals residing in Texas and follow professional and ethical guidelines for licensed mental health care. Christy is not accepting new clients. at this time. Please reach out if you’d like to be added to the waitlist.

Soul Care is for individuals who feel drawn to live more intentionally and reflectively.
People often come during seasons of:
life transition or discernment
spiritual exploration or questioning
burnout or the need for renewal
longing for a slower, more meaningful rhythm of life
deep inner work
grief and loss
deconstruction and reconstruction
You do not need to belong to a particular faith tradition to participate.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes and take place via secure online video.
The pace is unhurried and conversational. Sessions may include:
reflective conversation
contemplative questions
mindful or grounding practices
exploration of life and meaning
Counseling sessions follow a clinical treatment plan, while Spiritual Direction sessions focus on the sacred within and in all aspects of life.

Spiritual Direction: typically once per month.
Counseling: scheduled according to your treatment plan and needs.

Spiritual Direction: $95 per session
Students in a Spiritual Direction certification program: $50 per session
Counseling: $150 per session (Texas residents only) - Various insurances may be accepted

The Restorie grew from my own experiences of navigating illness, recovery, sacred travel, and contemplative practices that helped me reconnect with my sacred self and what matters most. I wanted to create a space where others could also pause, rest, reflect, and restore their lives with intention and care.
