I've waded into bioluminescent waters at night and watched my hands glow like something from a dream. I've seen the sun go down over the Gulf every evening of every visit — and it never once felt ordinary. The people here are unhurried and warm. The beauty is quiet and wide-open. The whole island moves like a long, slow exhale.
This is not a trip I lead because it looks good on a page. I bring people here because I've felt what it does to a tired soul — the way the soft sand and the salt air and the absence of noise begin, slowly, to work something loose. Holbox has been balm to me. And I believe it can be balm to you too.

A: The island is reached only by ferry, which is 1 hour and 45 minutes - 75 miles - from the Cancun airport. Ferries run every 30 minutes throughout the day and early evening.
Q: Can I fly to Isla Holbox if I don’t want to take a shuttle?
A: Yes, small plane flights are available from Cancun airport and take around 30 minutes.
Q: Do I have to participate in group offerings?
A: No—everything is optional. Join as much or as little as you’d like. Explore on your own and make this your personal retreat. Or join if you’d like company.
Q: Can I come solo?
A: Yes. Many guests come solo and enjoy built-in community without pressure. It is the perfect solo destination.
