Ireland & Scotland — A Celtic Journey

If these lands have lived in you longer than you can explain — it's time to go.

May 29 – June 11, 2027 | 14 Nights | Holland America Nieuw Statendam

There is a particular kind of beauty that doesn't just meet the eye — it reaches into something older, something you carry in your bones without knowing why. From the mist-draped mountains of the Scottish Highlands to the wild headlands of Donegal, from the singing streets of Galway to the ancient cobblestones of Edinburgh — these are not merely beautiful places. They are thin places, where people have prayed and wept and wondered and come home to themselves for thousands of years. Come with open hands. Come with room in you for something ancient to stir.

This Journey Is For You If…

  • Ireland or Scotland runs in your blood and you've always felt the quiet pull to stand on the ground your people came from

  • You are drawn to Celtic spirituality — thin places, ancient sacred sites, and the kind of landscape that makes prayer feel effortless

  • You want to explore these lands deeply, without the exhaustion of coordinating hotels, ferries, rental cars, and endless logistics

  • You have held this dream for years and you're finally ready to say yes to it

  • You are a solo traveler ready for an extraordinary once-in-a-lifetime adventure with warm company along the way

  • Something ancient in you recognizes these shores, even if you've never been able to explain why.

No navigating unfamiliar roads. No hauling luggage in and out. No bus fatigue. Your “hotel” travels with you. Wake up somewhere new each morning and return to the same comfortable room each night.

Why This Journey Found Me …

I have never set foot on Irish or Scottish soil. But I have been moving toward these lands for longer than I can explain.

It began outside an airplane window — greens so impossibly vivid they didn't seem real, a landscape that looked like it was holding something. I didn't know then what I know now — that those are thin places down there. Ancient ground where the sacred has always felt close, where the veil between the seen and unseen world is gossamer-thin, where my people once lived and prayed and belonged. Celtic spirituality has called to me for years. And somewhere in me, so has this land. This journey is not just a trip I am hosting. It is a pilgrimage I have been quietly preparing for.

I keep coming back to Holland America. There is just something about her — unhurried, refined, genuinely beautiful — that mirrors the kind of travel I believe in. Good food. Quiet evenings. Spaces that invite you to slow down and actually be somewhere. Her essence is classy. And for fourteen days sailing the Celtic world, that matters deeply.

I am going. And I would love for you to come with me.
